Peter Dowdall has over 20 years experience in gardening in Ireland and abroad. He is a regular on television, radio and in print throughout Ireland and the UK. His first book is being published in the Spring of 2010. He has personally put together the plant collections in this website as a guide to help you choose your perfect plants.
Every part of this website is designed to be easy to use for the gardener and non gardener alike and thus the collections are organised in themes. So no need to search for long Latin names just find a collection type that suits you and see whats available. These collections are being constantly updated as plants come in and out of season.

The idea of the online garden centre is simple, Peter has broken it down into two sections:
- You can search the site by plant type or ‘Collections’. Peter Dowdall has classified plants into collections to do with where they like to grow or what season they are of interest. So in in a way the answer is provided before the question, in other words you do not need to know which plant you are looking for or anything about gardening. Just search for a theme or ‘Collection’ that suits you in the store and then pick your plants.
- Using the ‘Find Your Perfect Plant’ search or the ‘advanced search’ tool you can just search for fruit or hedge or other groups to see what is available. Alternatively you can search for a plant with a particular colour in a particular month.
